Terms & Conditions: Private & Corporate Hire

Serenity Sound & Soul

By booking a private or corporate sound bath session, the Client (the individual or organization making the booking) agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking & Payment Terms

  • Methods: Bookings can be made via email, phone, or our online booking system.
  • Deposit: A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the agreed date and time. The booking is not confirmed until this deposit is received.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid and cleared within 7 days after the scheduled event date. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or PayPal.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Cancellations 48+ Hours in Advance: If the Client cancels the event with more than 48 hours’ notice, any balance paid will be refunded, minus the 10% non-refundable deposit.
  • Cancellations within 48 Hours: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time are subject to a 100% cancellation fee. Any outstanding balance remains due and payable under the standard payment terms.
  • Practitioner Cancellation: In the highly unlikely event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., practitioner illness or emergency), Serenity Sound & Soul will offer to reschedule the event. If a mutually agreeable date cannot be found, a full refund of all monies paid (including the deposit) will be issued.

3. Health, Safety & Attendee Responsibility

  • Purpose: This sound bath experience is for relaxation and stress reduction purposes. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition.
  • Medical Considerations: Sound baths may not be suitable for individuals with sound-induced epilepsy, those in their first trimester of pregnancy, or individuals with a pacemaker or other electronic medical devices. Attendees using hearing aids may experience discomfort and may wish to turn them off or down.
  • Client/Organiser Responsibility: Where the booking is made by a corporate entity or group organizer, the Client is responsible for communicating these medical considerations to all prospective participants prior to the event.
  • Individual Responsibility: All participants are ultimately responsible for their own health and well-being during and after the sound bath. Participants must inform the practitioner of any relevant conditions before the session starts.

4. Venue & Performance Requirements

  • Space Requirements: The Client must provide a clean, quiet, and even floor space of at least 90cm x 90cm dedicated solely for the practitioner’s sound equipment setup.
  • Venue Suitability: The Client/Host is responsible for ensuring the venue is safe, structurally sound, appropriately heated/ventilated, and fit for the purpose of a relaxation event.
  • Access & Timing: The practitioner requires access to the venue a minimum of 30 minutes before the session for set-up, and 30 minutes after the session for pack-down.
  • Duration: The standard sound bath duration is between 40 minutes and 1 hour, unless an extended duration has been explicitly agreed upon in writing beforehand.
  • Comfort Items: Unless otherwise arranged in writing, participants or the Client organization are responsible for providing their own yoga mats, blankets, pillows, and any other personal comfort items.

5. Event Restrictions

  • Age & Guests: No pets or children under the age of 14 are permitted in the session area unless specifically agreed upon in advance. Young adults aged 14–17 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Environment: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in or near the session area. To protect equipment and ensure comfort, food and open drinks are generally not permitted during the sound bath.

6. Photography, Recording & Intellectual Property

  • Privacy: Photography and audio/visual recording during the sound bath are prohibited unless prior explicit consent is obtained from both the practitioner and all participants.
  • Intellectual Property: All intellectual property rights related to the sound bath experience—including but not limited to original music, spoken guidance, recordings, and specific healing techniques used—remain the exclusive property of Serenity Sound & Soul.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • The practitioner and Serenity Sound & Soul maintain professional indemnity and public liability insurance for the instruction and delivery of the session.
  • The practitioner and Serenity Sound & Soul shall not be liable for any injuries, financial losses, or damages arising from or related to the sound bath experience, including but not limited to physical injuries, emotional distress, or personal property damage, except where caused by the proven negligence of the practitioner.
  • This disclaimer does not limit or exclude any liability that cannot be legally excluded under applicable law.

8. Governing Law & Modifications

  • Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  • Modifications: Serenity Sound & Soul reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any bookings made prior to a modification will be honored under the terms active at the time of deposit payment.
